Highly Aromatic - Variegated Evergreen Summer Flowering Plant
- Meerlo Lavender is a highly fragrant evergreen herb plant that is a charming variegated variety with pale olive green serrated leaves edged in yellowish cream. It is thought to be one of the most attractive Lavender varieties available for UK gardens and compliments beautifully with many other plants, in particular plants in deep red and burgundy. During the Summer months fragrant pale lavender blue flowers are formed, loved by pollinating insects, in particular bees and butterflies.
- Lavender Meerlo is a tough drought tolerant variety and can grow in pretty much any well draining soil conditions in full sun to partial shade. This variety is ideal for growing in tubs, pots, beds and borders. It can also be used for creating low hedging, growing to a height of between 40 and 90cm. As well as being drought tolerant, Meerlo is also heat tolerant and deer resistant.
- The lovely flowers from this Lavender can be used in soups, stews, salads and to add flavour to cakes and other baking. The flower heads and foliage can be dried for use to scent rooms and as moth repellent.
