Watering
As their leaves retain water they can go some time without watering but when watering, allow the soil to dry out before rewatering to prevent root rot. Cut back on how much water this plant gets during the Autumn/Winter as it goes into a dormant state.

Best Growing Conditions
This trailing succulent can tolerate being root-bound and does not need to be re-potted regularly. In fact, one of the best ways to encourage blooms is to keep the plant slightly root-bound. However, every few years you should re-pot a string of dolphins to refresh its potting medium and increase pot size, usually one size larger.
