White Pearl Fruit Plant
- STRONG GROWTH - Ribes 'Witte Parel' which means White Pearl, is a deciduous slow growing white currant plant. This plant is of an upright habit, and grows bunches of green flowers, these flowers bloom and peak between April & May.

- SELF POLLINATING - During early summer, this self-pollinating variety produces loads of translucent and delicious edible berries which are best picked around mid-July.
- FULLY HARDY - This plant is extremely hardy, it can stand up to harsh windy conditions and the berries are not an attractive proposition for birds and other such pests so they can be grown and harvested with minimal fuss.

Make sure the plant is kept well watered, specially during warmer seasons.

Best Growing Conditions
If the ground is soil is frozen or waterlogged when they arrive, give them a soak and plant them in a pot filled with good quality compost until they can be planted out. Space at 1.5m intervals and once planted apply a mulch of well-rotted manure every spring, as well as a nitrogen and potassium fertiliser. Make sure the plant is kept well watered in dry weather and net the bushes to protect the currants from birds. In the first year, prune back to one bud above soil level in winter. After that only prune out weak branches.
