Best Growing Conditions
This plant is drought resistant - once established - variegated shrub prefers a sheltered spot with well-drained soil in full sun. However, it will tolerate some shade. Making an architectural specimen, this low maintenance plant can be added to wall-side borders or mixed flower bed focal point. Water regularly for the first year, and in cold areas provide winter protection to prevent water collecting and rotting the growing buds. Alternatively, if being grown in a pot, move under cover or against a sheltered wall. Older leaves can be removed to improve appearance, but Cordylines do not normally need regular pruning, making it an easy to care for plant for indoor spaces.
