  • Light Required

This Elephant Ear houseplant thrives best in well lit, bright conditions. Direct sunlight can lead to leaves becoming scorched. As this is a tropical plant it needs to be kept warm, ideally between 18-22°C, so a kitchen or bathroom is the ideal spot.

  • Watering

Alocasia Stingray’s do not like to dry out and should be watered regularly. The soil should be kept moist with warm water but not soaking. Give them a regular mist and a monthly feed in the growing months to keep them happy. Alocasia go through a dormant period in the Winter, their leaves will drop and the plant may die back. During this phase less water is required.

  • Best Growing Conditions

Alocasia do not like to grow in shaded conditions, if they receive too much lower light levels this can lead to the plant suffering.
