• Alder is a hardwood but does not have as dense a structure to that of Oak. It is a popular choice for firewood because it's easy to light, burns well, and has a pleasant sweet mild aroma. Alder's aroma makes it suitable for smoking fish, for BBQing and for smoking meats. It's also a great option for smaller stoves as it lights very quickly, generating heat almost immediately.
• Our wood logs are eco friendly and sourced from well managed woodlands, FSC® certified. Meaning you receive high quality, chunky cut firewood that is safe for using indoors for lighting wood burners, fireplaces and stoves. As well as using outdoors in firepits, stone pizza ovens, chimineas and BBQs.
• With our kiln dried logs, you will receive a cleaner hotter burn with less ash and smoke compared to that of air dried wood. Our firewood logs are compliant with 2020 Air Quality Regulations, ensuring a low moisture content of 10% or less. This means no more struggling to get your fire going, hello to a cleaner, hotter burn.
• Our chunky wood logs are easy to ignite, store and handle arriving in a strong cardboard box. Available in varying weights from 10kg to a full crate weighing 370kg, giving an ample supply to keep your home consistently warm.
