Prunus laurocerasus Rotundifolia

  • Cherry Laurel Hedging, botanically known as Prunus laurocerasus Rotundifolia is a live fast growing, vigorous evergreen shrub with a bushy upright growing habit. This hedging plant can grow to a height of between 4 to 8 metres, with a spread of 2.5 to 4 metres when mature, growing at least 90cm each year. It produces small, fragrant white flowers in mid to late Spring, which are then followed by cherry like red fruit in Autumn that ripen to black in late Autumn to Winter.
  • With these bare roots plants, as soon as you receive them place them upright in a bucket of clean water immediately leaving them for at least 2 hours. Only remove the plants from the bucket as you need them. Bare root plants must always be planted with wet roots, it's not good for them to be planted dry and watered after planting. Always make sure they are planted well and watered immediately after plating.
