Best Growing Conditions
Remove any grass, weeds or other plants occupying a 4-foot circle around the planting area. Dig out the roots and soil to a depth of 2 feet and turn over the soil so that it is loose and well aerated. Remove soil from an area 2 feet deep and 2 feet wide at the centre of your planting circle.
