Best Growing Conditions
Tolerant of dry shade and urban pollution, Aucuba japonica 'Rozannie' does not thrive in a very sunny site and needs well-drained soil. It is drought resistant. Never allow to become waterlogged. Allow to dry out between waterings to reduce chances of root rot. It needs little pruning but can be trained back to shape in spring, if needed. Propagate by seed or from semi-hardwood cuttings. 10 years to reach maturity.
