Plant outside in late spring. Grow in an open sunny position in any good, free draining, reasonably fertile soil. Shrubby ragworts are useful foliage plants where the silvery leaves can be used to brighten a variety of areas. Most varieties are wind and salt tolerant, making them very useful as seaside plants. They are drought tolerant once established. Ideal as part of a Mediterranean style garden or as a ground-cover for a sunny well-drained site. Certain varieties make a good medium height hedge.
