Bromeliaceae Guzmania
- Bromeliad Plant Yellow Flower - Bromeliads Guzmania Plant - Amazing Pineapple Plant.
- An elegant lady. That is the Guzmania 'Francesca'. A flower sticks out of the top of the leaves.
- Bromeliads have finally attracted the attention they deserve since they easily adapt to average home conditions. These relatives of the common pineapple are available in an astonishing array of colours and textures.
- Although many do have very showy flower displays, bromeliads are just as popular as beautiful foliage plants with strappy leaves.

Light Required
Plants that are yellowish might be receiving too much light, while plants that are dark green or elongated might be receiving too little light. Increasing light exposure can help the plant bloom, provided the other conditions are appropriate.

Watering
Bromeliads are watered in a different way to other house plants, via a central ‘tank’ in the middle of the rosette of leaves. Use rainwater if possible, or tap water that has been boiled and cooled or left to stand for 24 hours. Every few weeks, empty the rosette by turning the plant upside down and refilling with fresh water. The compost should also be watered, but not much – simply ensure it never dries out fully.

Best Growing Conditions
Your plant will be happy in a well-lit location. With most houseplants, it is best to avoid direct sunlight, as it can scorch their leaves. We believe that a little way back from a window in a bright room is optimum. The foliage of your plant may become a little dusty, so just wipe them down with a damp cloth occasionally (try not to come into direct contact with the plant).
