Best Growing Conditions
This cottage garden plant is evergreen but in the first year its leaves will die back after flowering. To encourage further growth, remove any spent flower heads and cut back old leaves. Helleborus dislikes being moved once established so they should not be divided and will self seed in the right conditions.
