The Leucothoe axillaris curly red also known as dog hobble curly red plant is a low growing evergreen shrub with thick curling leaves that can grow to 5cm long and change colour through the year. The foliage turns into a red tone in colder months autumn to winter, the reddish toned fades in spring turning green in summer.
