- The Muehlenbeckia astonii commonly known as the shrubby tororaro, zig zag plant or wiggy-wig bush is an erect, deciduous, twiggy shrub that can grow to 2 metres in height. Native to New Zealand it produces masses of zig-zagging, wiry branches that bear small, heart-shaped leaves, and during the Summer months, it produces tiny, inconspicuous flowers.
