Staghorn Fernin - Indoor Plant with Silvery-Green Antler Shaped Leaves
- SUNLIGHT: Staghorn Ferns like bright, natural light but don't like being left in direct sunlight. During the winter months, if there is less sunlight - this plant may need moved into a brighter area within your home.
- CARE: This plant is a typical jungle plant that likes lots of humidity. It's recommend that this plant is kept in more humid areas within your home (like the bathroom) as dry heat can effect it's growth.
- WATERING: It's best to water a Staghorn Fern every 7-10 days but in the winter months a little less. This fern likes it's compost to be dry between watering. Staghorn Ferns absorbs moisture through it's leaves as well as its roots.

Watering
Allow the soil to begin to dry out before watering. Due to the hard shield leaves covering the plant root ball, it is best to water from below rather directly onto the leaves. Dunk the plant in water for 10-15 minutes (less in winter) and ensure there is adequate drainage. Don’t leave the plant sitting in water continually.

Best Growing Conditions
The Common Staghorn Fern thrives in normal household temperatures: between 16-24°C. Try to always keep your plant above 12°C at the very minimum. Avoid cold draughts. These ferns prefer higher humidity levels where possible. Mist regularly. Ideal plants for kitchens and bathrooms. Liquid fertiliser can be applied occasionally during the growing season.
