- Salix babylonica ‘Tortuosa’ commonly known as the Contorted Willow or Dragon’s Claw Willow, is a fast-growing medium-sized deciduous tree with an upright growing habit. It produces narrow, very twisted branches, twigs and leaves and small yellow catkins in Spring. Its leaves are lanceolate in shape, bright green on top and greyish green underneath. Each leaf measures about 7-14 cm in length and has a finely serrated edge.
- After blossoming this plant can be pruned and its stems used to make impressive flower arrangements. Dragon’s Claw Willow is a flower arranger’s dream.
