  • Striking almost black foliage and from May-June pale pink, musk-scented blooms appear from stunning creamy-pink buds.
  • Excellent shrub for all styles of gardens and has the bonus of having blackish-red berries in autumn. Fruit and flowers may be used for flavouring and cooking.
  • Large bushy, deciduous shrub with near black fine foliage which turns very dark red in autumn, produces flat pink flower heads in the summer time.
  • Flowers can be collected in Spring, best collected early in the day before the flowers buds open fully. Berries can be collected in Autumn.

Propagate by softwood cuttings in early summer or hardwood cuttings in winter. Will tolerate hard pruning to restrict the size; can be maintained as small shrub if desired.
