Autumn/Winter planting shallots
- Grow your own shallot onions in the garden, ideal for raised beds or containers
- The yellow moon is a variety of a white onion shallot which is sweeter and milder than regular onions, as they have double the amount of vitamin C and are also rich in vitamins A, B and E
- A kilo bag contains approximately 10-14 large bulbs depending on size and weight
- They produce a heavy crop of high quality, healthy bulbs whether planted in spring or autumn. The plants are not prone to bolting and the harvested bulbs store very well. Flavour and texture are both excellent
- Ideal for planting in October - November with harvest in late summer, early autumn.
- Perfect for cooking with or eating raw when harvested.
- If you are not planting straightaway then store them in a cool, dark, and dry place and ensure they have air flowing in from all angles so they maybe best hung up on a wall or hook. We do recommend planting withing the first 7 days or receiving them.
- PLEASE NOTE: These onion set are on back order and will dispatch late September.
