Ethiopian Black Banana Large Fast Growing Eye Catching Tall Air Purifying Indoor Plant
- The Musa ensete Maurelli, Ethiopian black banana plant is among the easiest exotic indoor plants. This spectacular evergreen foliage plant is actually a herbaceous perennial but it's often referred to as a banana tree. With its lovely eye-catching green and bronze paddle shaped leaves this vigorous house plant will add a tropical, jungle feel to any room that it is positioned within.
- This fast growing indoor plant can grow to between 3 and 5 metres in height, with it growing 100cm each year. As they love humidity and warmth they are ideal plants for bathrooms or kitchens. In warmer areas of the country it can be grown outdoors in pots on a patio but will need to be moved indoors during the Winter as it is not Winter hardy.

Best Growing Conditions
Banana plants like to be kept well watered during their growing cycle but don’t like to have their roots sitting in water. They are best grown in well draining soil, positioned in a South or West facing, sheltered area which receives in-direct sunlight to partial shade. Due to their fast growing nature, they require heavy feeding of a balanced fertiliser during their active growing period of March and September.
