Erysimum

  • Wallflowers botanically known as Erysimum are hardy tall biennial Spring bedding plants that flower from March to May, every two years. These average to fast growing bare root plants grow to a height of between 45-60 cm and are ideal for growing in beds, borders or containers. With sweetly scented flowers, loved by bees, butterflies and other pollinating insects, Wallflowers add a splash of colour to your garden when little else is in colour.
  • Purple Shades Wallflowers produce a spectacular mix of deep amethyst purple to ruby red flowers above bright green stems. Will arrive as 10 bare roots, ready for planting now. Purple Shades blooms complement well with other brightly coloured plants in shades of yellow, orange and green. Wallflowers also make a superb cut flower, allowing you to enjoy them in your garden and home.
  • Bare root Wallflowers arrive as mature plants ‘in the green’ which require planting out now in the Autumn, allowing them to establish and flower in the Spring. These hardy plants will survive winter frosts. It is important to plant them out in the garden as soon as they are received. Stand the roots of the plants in water for up to an hour before planting. Any signs of yellowing foliage is nothing to worry about, this is due to the lack of light in the shipping box, they will make a full recovery.
