  • The Mangave is a intergeneric hybrid of the Manfreda and Agave, inheriting the best parts from both plants. The Agave gives it the large, architectural form and durability. While the Manfreda gives it the unique colouring and markings and softer spines - making it easier to handle.
  • They are fast growing and can grow to a considerable size, depending on how they are watered. Like all succulents, the Mangave is water sensitive - too much water can cause them to rot away and not enough water, can prevent them growing.

  • Best Growing Conditions

    Mangaves are best grown in full sunlight and kept indoors within the UK as they are not hardy. They can be moved outdoors during the Summer but must be brought back indoors the rest of the year. They grow best when positioned in an area with extended natural light. If the plant receives too much artificial light or in extended low light conditions, this can cause the colours and markings to fade. If this occurs, moving the plant into more light, will allow the plant to regain its spots and markings.
