An extremely popular plant, Salix is the genus name for willows, which includes hundreds of species of deciduous trees and shrubs known for their slender leaves, decorative catkins, and love for moist soil. In the UK, popular varieties include the dwarf Salix integra 'Flamingo' with its pink and green variegated leaves, and the weeping Salix caprea 'Kilmarnock'
