Watering Keep the soil consistently moist, especially during warm weather and while the plant is flowering. Water deeply at the base and avoid allowing the root ball to dry out completely. Container-grown plants may need frequent watering in summer, but the compost should still drain freely.

Best Growing Conditions Grow in sun or partial shade in well-drained soil. Choose a position with good airflow and enough space for the plant to reach its mature size. Mulch after planting and keep the root zone free from prolonged waterlogging, particularly through winter.
