- Sedum is a large genus of flowering outdoor Succulents commonly known as Stonecrop, which fall into two categories: low growing sedum and upright sedum. They come in a wide variety of heights, colours and forms. They have thick fleshy leaves and typically produce tiny star-shaped flowers that often bloom late in their growing season.
- Sedums are very low maintenance evergreen plants and are perfect in patio pots, borders or in rock gardens planted on their own or in groups with other plants such as Irises, Kniphofia and Ornamental Grasses. They flower during the Summer and Autumn months and attract bees, butterflies and other pollinating insects to your garden.

Watering Allow the compost to dry well between waterings, then water thoroughly and let all excess drain away. These plants cope better with being slightly dry than sitting in wet compost, so never leave the pot standing in water. Reduce watering significantly through the cooler, darker months.
Best Growing Conditions Grow in partial shade to gentle sun in fertile, well-drained loam. Choose a position with good airflow and enough space for the plant to reach its mature size. Mulch after planting and keep the root zone free from prolonged waterlogging, particularly through winter.
