Light Required Anthurium plants that don’t get adequate sunlight tend to have lackluster flowers. It’s important to place these individuals in a room that gets plenty of light. Although they prefer a good amount of light, it should never be direct. Bright, indirect sunlight will keep your Anthurium happy.
Watering These houseplants require low to moderate amounts of water. Depending on how warm their environment is, you may need to add water every few days. Providing ample drainage holes on the bottom of your pot or container is key to ensuring that the roots don’t become rotted.

Grow under glass or indoors epiphytically in a mix of 1 part fibrous loam, 1 part coarse sand and 2-3 parts leaf mould with a little charcoal. Filtered light, constant temperature (min 16°C) and high humidity required in summer and full light in winter. In the growing season water freely and apply a balanced liquid fertiliser. Can be grown outdoors epiphytically in a warm, moist site or in moist, coarse, humus-rich soil.
