Erythronium

Erythronium or Dog’s Tooth Violet is one of the more graceful and subtle flowers of spring. These lovely forest bulbs have delicate nodding blooms over elegant marbled foliage which lend a natural, almost wild beauty to shaded areas of the garden. Dog Tooth Violet is not a violet at all, despite its name, but a distinctive and highly liked spring flowering bulb.

Erythronium bulbs are ideal for forest gardens, shady borders and naturalised planting. They like a cool soil which retains moisture and will grow spectacular clumps over the years.
Their lovely flowers blossom in early to mid spring, offering colour and intrigue just when the garden starts to come alive after winter.
