  • Our Asparagus crowns are easy to grow in the UK and are ideal for beginners or more experienced growers. All of our crowns are of premium quality and are adaptable to various soil types and conditions. They can thrive in a wide range of garden environments.

  • GIJNILM - This asparagus is an ‘all male’ variety that produces bright green spears with purple tips. These crowns are best planted between March and May, and though a few spears can be cut the following year, it is best left for two years so that it can grow into a strong plant. Gijnlim has been awarded an Award of Garden Merit by the Royal Horticultural Society.

  • PACIFIC PURPLE - This asparagus is a high yielding variety that produces striking purple spears between May and early June and will add colour to your cooking and garden. They also boast a sweeter flavour and more tender texture compared to traditional green varieties. They will also provide nectar and pollen for bees and the many other types of pollinating insects.

  • MILLENNIUM - This asparagus is an ‘all male’ high yielding variety that produces tasty bright green spears with purple tips between April and June. They were originally bred in Canada so are more tolerant to colder temperatures.

  • With this listing you can choose from 3, 6, 9 or 25 crowns of a single variety, Gijnilm, Pacific Purple or Millennium or purchase the same quantities of mixed varieties.

  • Pre-order for delivery early April 2025.
