  • Camellia japonica are evergreen plants with an upright growing habit commonly known as Japanese camellia. These ready to plant Spring flowering shrubs are popular for growing in UK gardens with their dark green glossy oval to ovate leaves and blousy flowers in pinks, whites and reds.

  • Camellias like to be watered with rainwater and require regular watering when newly planted. This is usually the first 18 months after planting. It is also important to water throughout the Summer months as this is when the flower buds are produced. Avoid prolonged spells of watering with tap water if you live in a hard water area.
