This plant likes to be positioned in a South or East facing window, that receives bright indirect sunlight but can tolerate shade
When giving the soil a water, it's important to allow the top of the soil to dry out before watering and to use the bottom up method to prevent the plant crown from rotting.
Sago palms prefer increased humidity levels and to help this, the plant can be misted regularly or positioned in a bathroom will someone is showering to give it a boost.
