  • Brassica oleracea var. sabellica, commonly known as kale, is a hardy, dependable leafy vegetable, and the Dwarf Green Curled variety is especially popular for its compact growth and tightly frilled leaves. A hardy biennial often grown as an annual and naturally suited to cut-and-come-again harvesting. The deep green foliage has a rich, slightly earthy flavour that becomes sweeter after a light frost, making it perfect for soups, stews, stir-fries or even crispy kale chips.

  • Because it stays relatively compact, this variety is ideal for smaller gardens, raised beds and even larger containers. It’s a reliable crop that keeps producing over many months, particularly through the cooler seasons when other greens have finished.
