  • Sometimes grown as a foliage houseplant for cool situations, Fatsia is also a very successful shade-tolerant garden plant.

  • Fatsia can survive in the most sunless corner of your garden where little else will grow.

  • They are very hardy and long-lived so given a reasonably sheltered position they will give you years of colour and structure.

  • The foliage of these plants are stunning. They are large and lobed, like giant outstretched hands and have a leathery texture.
