  • Golden Wonder is a proper old favourite and has been grown in the UK for generations. Known for its distinctive golden skin and floury texture, it’s the classic choice for light, fluffy mash and proper crispy roast potatoes. The flavour is rich and traditional — the sort of taste that reminds you why homegrown potatoes are always better.

  • This is a late maincrop variety, producing good-sized tubers that store well once lifted. Plants are vigorous and reliable, making them a solid choice for garden beds, raised beds or larger containers. If you’re after a dependable potato with excellent cooking quality, Golden Wonder rarely disappoints.

    • Light Required Full sun to partial shade

    Watering Water regularly during establishment; keep soil evenly moist but well drained.

    Best Growing Conditions Plant in well-drained soil in a sunny position once the risk of heavy frost has passed. Earth up as the plants grow to protect developing tubers. Keep well watered during dry spells and harvest in late summer once the foliage has died back.
