Hosta, commonly known as Plantain Lily are among the best, all foliage plants and the Praying Hands variety is no exception. This hosta produces lavender-blue bell shaped flowers during mid to late Summer. Its upright, narrow leaves are dark green and rippled, with narrow, gold margins, which have a distinctive fold to them resembling two hands folded in prayer.

Hosta's are herbaceous perennials that thrive in shade or low light conditions making them popular with gardeners. They are ideal to grow in North facing aspects of a garden where most other plants will not grow.

Hosta's are tolerant of most types of soil, provided that the soil is well-draining. Avoid planting them in clay soil as it retains too much moisture. If unsure where to plant, they also make fantastic patio pot and container plants.
