  • Iceberg lettuce is a familiar favourite for good reason. It forms neat, round heads packed with crisp, crunchy leaves that are perfect for fresh salads, sandwiches or burgers. When you grow it yourself, the leaves taste fresher and have a much nicer bite than shop-bought lettuce.

  • It’s an easy crop to grow and fits nicely into veg beds, raised planters or even a decent-sized pot on the patio. Plant a few at different times and you’ll have a steady supply of fresh lettuce ready to pick through the season.
