  • Leek ‘Musselburgh’ is a proper traditional variety and a favourite in many UK veg patches. It produces long, thick white stems with dark green tops and has that classic, mild leek flavour that works so well in soups, stews and winter dishes. It’s a hardy, reliable choice that stands well through colder weather, making it ideal for autumn and winter harvesting.

    Watering Water regularly during establishment and stem development; keep soil evenly moist.

    Best Growing Conditions Plant in a sunny spot in fertile, well-drained soil. Keep well watered in dry spells and earth up the stems as they grow to blanch and lengthen the white shafts. Harvest from autumn through winter as required.
