• The Pear 'Doyenne du Comice is widely regarded as one of the most flavoursome dessert varieties of pear available. It has a lovely richness that other cultivars struggle to attain. These large, sweet fruits have a wonderful melt-in-the-mouth texture when eaten. They can be harvested in October and will store well into November. This variety is not self-fertile and will require another pear tree nearby for pollination to produce fruit.
