  • Rhubarb ‘Red Champagne’ is a really popular variety, known for its deep red stalks and great flavour. It’s a lovely one to grow if you enjoy using fresh ingredients in the kitchen, whether that’s for crumbles, pies, jams or sauces.

  • It’s supplied as a strong, established plant, so it’s ready to go straight into the garden and will settle in without too much trouble. Once it gets going, it will produce a reliable crop each year, making it a really rewarding plant to have.

  • As a hardy perennial, it comes back year after year with very little effort. It also has large, bold leaves, so it adds a nice bit of structure and greenery to the garden as well as being useful.

  • It grows well in most UK conditions and can be planted in garden beds, allotments or even a large container if you’re short on space.
