  • Rhubarb ‘Timperley Early’ is a great choice if you want to enjoy one of the first harvests of the season. As the name suggests, it’s an early variety, often ready to pick before most others, giving you a head start on fresh, homegrown rhubarb.

  • It produces tender, flavourful stalks with a good balance of sweetness and sharpness, making it perfect for crumbles, pies and jams. It’s especially popular if you like forcing rhubarb for even earlier crops.

  • Supplied as a strong, established plant, it’s ready to go straight into the garden and will settle in quickly. Once established, it will produce reliable harvests year after year with very little effort.

  • As a hardy perennial, it comes back each season and also adds a bold, leafy look to your garden, making it both practical and decorative.

    Watering Water regularly during establishment and active growth; keep soil evenly moist, especially in dry periods.

    Best Growing Conditions Plant in a sunny or lightly shaded spot in rich, well-drained soil. Water regularly while establishing and during dry spells. For best results, allow the plant to settle in during its first year, then begin harvesting in following seasons.
