The Sansevieria snake plant also known as the mother in laws tongue, is a flowering species which is primarily grown for it's slick sword like long leaves.

Small greenish white flowers can appear once this species matures in age. This seems as though it happens by luck rather than effort for some growers.

This plant requires little to no water, water once every few weeks and even less in the winter - once a month.

Best Growing Conditions

Feed once a month from April to September. Wipe the leaves occasionally, to prevent dust building up. Be careful not to damage the leaf tips â€“ this will stop the plant growing. Snake plants can cope with draughts and dry air, and don't need misting.
