  • White Camellia japonica is a classic evergreen shrub with glossy, dark green leaves and beautiful white flowers that bloom from late winter to early spring. The clean flowers look great against the dark leaves, adding brightness and structure to the yard at a time when colour is most welcome. Its elegant look makes it a traditional choice for big patio planters, borders, and woodland-style gardens.

  • This camellia grows slowly and lives a long time, so it will be interesting all year with little work. It looks best in protected areas where you can get a good look at it, and it goes well with other acid-loving plants like azaleas and rhododendrons.

    Best Growing Conditions Grow in a sheltered position in partial shade, protected from cold winds and strong morning sun. Plant in acidic, moisture-retentive but well-drained soil and water regularly, particularly during dry spells. Apply a mulch annually to keep roots cool and avoid heavy pruning, removing only dead or damaged growth.
