  • American wisteria, or Wisteria frutescens 'Amethyst Falls,' is a lovely climbing plant that blooms with clusters of soft purple-blue flowers that smell nice. It looks and smells amazing when it's in bloom, and it's a great way to attract bees and other pollinators.

  • This plant is a deciduous climber, which means it will shed its leaves in the winter and grow new ones each year. It is a little easier to care for than some other wisterias, but it still grows well and can reach a height of around 9 meters and a spread of about 6 meters if given enough space.

  • It blooms in the spring and often has a second bloom in the summer, which makes the display last longer. You may train it in numerous ways depending on how much space you have. You can put it over an arch or pergola, along a wall, or even shape it into a little tree.
