Our Air Purifying Plant Collection brings you three popular houseplants: a Peace Lily 'Alana', a Maranta Fascinator and a Devil's Ivy (Golden Pothos). Together they make a full, mixed display.

The three plants you get when you buy our Air Purifying Plant collection make up a complete package. First, the Peace Lily brings glossy dark leaves and white flowers. Next, the Maranta shows off patterned leaves with red veins that fold up at night. The third option, the Devil's Ivy, has trailing stems and green leaves with golden-yellow markings, making it suitable for displaying on a shelf. All three are great choices for a living room, bedroom, or other bright rooms that do not get direct, strong sunlight. Browse more of our air purifying plants.

Watering Keep the compost lightly and evenly moist, watering when the surface just begins to dry. Avoid both prolonged dryness and waterlogged roots, and let excess water drain freely after each watering. Water a little less in winter, while maintaining reasonable humidity around the foliage.

Best Growing Conditions Grow in bright, indirect light and protection from harsh direct sun, ideally at around 18-26°C, away from cold draughts and sudden temperature changes. Use a good-quality, well-drained houseplant compost and make sure excess water can drain freely from the pot. Most houseplants perform best with moderate humidity and should be kept away from strong radiator heat.

Which plants come in the Air Purifying Plant Collection?

When you buy our Air Purifying Plant Collection, you get three plants: a Peace Lily 'Alana', a Maranta Fascinator and a Devil's Ivy (Golden Pothos). All three plants come in 13cm pots, which means they arrive ready to display straight away.

Is this collection pet friendly?

No, this collection is not pet-friendly. Both Peace Lily and Golden Pothos are toxic to cats and dogs if chewed or ingested and may cause mouth irritation, drooling and vomiting. Keep these plants out of reach of pets.

Why does my Maranta fold its leaves at night?

This is a normal trait of this plant, and it is the reason why the Maranta is also called the Prayer Plant. The leaves lie flat in the day and lift up at night, a bit like hands in prayer. If the leaves stay folded in daylight, check it isn't too dry or cold.

Why is my Peace Lily drooping?

This usually happens when the plant is thirsty. Water it well, and the leaves will normally lift again within a few hours. If the compost is already wet, it may be getting too much water, so let it dry out more before watering again.

Why are my Maranta's leaf edges turning brown?

When the leaf edges turn brown, it usually means the air is too dry or the watering is off. Keep the compost evenly moist, not soggy, and raise humidity by grouping the plants or using a pebble tray. Keep it away from radiators too.

Where is the best place for each plant?

The Maranta plant prefers a warm, well-lit room with no direct sun, such as a living room. The Peace Lily copes with a shadier corner or a bright bathroom. The Devil's Ivy looks best on a high shelf, where its stems can trail down.

Top tip

Turn the pot a quarter turn every week or two so the plant develops evenly, and wipe broad leaves occasionally to keep them free of dust. Good drainage is especially important, so avoid leaving the roots sitting in persistently wet or compacted soil.
