  • GREAT FOR BEGINNERS - Beginners will easily be able to wrap their head around the care process for the Aglaonema Light Star. They will also be able to appreciate the sheer beauty of the plant when placed within their home, office or other indoor space.

  • AIR PURIFYING - The air-purifying qualities the plant has will benefit all that lives around the plant for a sustained period of time. The plant will remove harmful pollutants and unwanted toxins from the air, giving the room a newly found cleanliness.

  • STUNNING FOLIAGE - This plant is yet another indoor plant with tremendously clean and fresh looking foliage. The evergreen leaves of mint and dark green colouring make the plant very attractive on the eye, and one that will be the envy of all who see it.

Light Required

Aglaonema plants thrive in a well-lit spot near a window facing west or east. Bright indirect sunlight is ideal, but never plant your Chinese Evergreens in a south-facing window that receives direct sunshine. The leaves will scorch under the intense sun. Aglaonemas flourish in low-light environments such as toilets and bedrooms.

Watering

Chinese evergreens demand a regular, but not drenching, moisture level. When you water your plant, make sure to properly wet the plant and allow the container to drain. The plant will develop yellow leaves and root rot due to overwatering. Always wait till the earth has fully dried up before watering your aglaonema again. Spring and summer are the most water-intensive seasons for Aglaonemas. Thus they will need more regular watering throughout the growing season. If you set your potted plant on a saucer, a layer of pebbles should be placed on the saucer to prevent the plant from sitting in water while the pot drains.

Best Growing Conditions

If you're looking for a beautiful, easy-to-care-for houseplant, a Chinese evergreen may be the way to go. Beloved for its (nearly) hands-free care, the plant is simple to nurture, provided you follow one simple rule: The lighter the variegation on the plant's leaves, the more sunlight it will need. Once you understand how that applies to your specific Chinese evergreen, you should have no problem helping it thrive. Beyond that, keep your plant warm and moist, and you'll be rewarded with a long-lasting, stable houseplant that will not outgrow its pot anytime soon.
