The Alocasia 'Polly' commonly known as the Elephant Ear plant or African Mask plant has deep green, waxy jungle like leaves with bold cream-coloured lines. It is a more compact variety compared to other Alocasia, making it ideal for growing in small spaces.
Light Required Bright indirect sunlight
Watering The Alocasia Polly enjoys weekly watering sessions and frequent misting, to keep its soil moist but not wet. In winter, allow the top few inches of soil to dry out between waterings to prevent overwatering and root rot. This plant is not drought tolerant, and extended periods of dryness will cause leaf edges to brown.
Best Growing Conditions A minimum temperature of 16ºC is perfect, ideally in a humid location, such as a bathroom or kitchen. If the room isn't humid enough, you can increase the humidity levels by standing the pot on a tray filled with pebbles and then add water until it rises to just below the bottom of the pot.
