  • Anemone Blanda is a collection of mixed bulbs that produce a variety of blue, pink, and white flowers with yellow centres, above fern like deep green foliage. Often known Grecian windflower because the flower heads turn away from wind. These easy to grow full hardy deciduous herbaceous perennial bulbs are popular for UK gardens, due to their ability to increase rapidly providing a bigger, better display each year during March and April.

  • These flowering plants loved by pollinating insects, in particular bees and butterflies, are perfect for brightening up that dull corner in any garden. They are perfect for planting in a mixed border or as ground cover around the base of trees and deciduous shrubs. For maximum impact plant in bold drifts. Further to this they are ideal for growing in alpine and rockery gardens, as well as in cottage and low maintenance gardening schemes.

  • If you are not ready to plant bulbs now, then store them in a cool, dry, frost free, well ventilated location. A garage, shed, loft or cupboard are ideal. Open the paper bag to allow air to circulate round but leave the bulbs in their bags until ready to plant. Just make sure mice or other rodents cant get access to them. Keep an eye on your bulbs while in storage, if they are showing signs of going soft, it's best to get them planted before they deteriorate any further.

    Watering Water thoroughly after planting to settle the soil around the bulbs. During active growth, water in prolonged dry spells so the soil stays lightly moist but never waterlogged. Once the foliage naturally dies back, reduce watering and allow the bulbs to rest more dryly.

    Best Growing Conditions Plant in fertile, well-drained loam in partial shade to gentle sun. Choose a position that does not stay waterlogged in winter, as good drainage helps bulbs return reliably. Allow the foliage to die back naturally after flowering so the bulb can store energy for the following season.
