  • Blue Primrose, or Primula, are hardy, low-maintenance perennial bedding plants that may live outside. This beautiful kind has deep blue flowers that add a cool, bright burst of colour to the garden in the winter and early spring. These small plants grow to be about 15-20 cm tall and are great for elevating borders and containers in the winter. They add seasonal interest to UK gardens for a long time.

  • Blue Primrose comes as sturdy, ready-to-plant bedding plants that are great for flower gardens, edging, patio pots, and window boxes. When hardly much else is blooming, their early blossoms are a good source of nectar for bees and other pollinators. Once they are established, they will come back year after year with little work.

  • Primroses do best in moist, well-drained soil that gets full sun to light shade. They look great in cottage-style gardens, spring bedding displays, and rockery planting plans. Use a good multipurpose compost with extra grit or perlite in containers to make sure that water drains well.

    Watering Water deeply after planting and keep the root zone consistently moist while the rose establishes. Once established, water thoroughly during dry spells, directing water to the base rather than over the foliage. Container-grown roses dry out faster and should be checked regularly in warm weather.

    Best Growing Conditions Grow in sun or partial shade in fertile, well-drained loam. Choose a position with good airflow and enough space for the plant to reach its mature size. Mulch after planting and keep the root zone free from prolonged waterlogging, particularly through winter.
