  • Our wildflower seed mix will produce lovely wildflower meadows, borders or beds to help attract bees & butterflies to your garden.

  • This mix contains twenty two different UK native wildflower species - Cornflower, Poppy, Red Clover, Black Medick, Yellow Blossom Clover, Corncockle, Chicory, Burnet, Birdsfoot Trefoil, Dropwort, Common Mallow, Borage, Alsike Clover, Gold of Pleasure, Berseem Clover, Ribwort Plantain, Vetch, Phacelia, Mustard, Yarrow, Parsley and Sainfoin.

  • The sowing rate for our wildflower mix is 2 to 5 grams per square metre. A good time for sowing mixtures is generally considered to be late summer or early autumn when seeds are shed naturally, the soil is warmer and moisture is usually present in sufficient quantity to aid good germination. Annual flower mixtures sown in early autumn should flower from May/June the following year.

Watering Water thoroughly after planting and keep the soil evenly moist while the plant establishes. Once established, water during prolonged dry periods rather than little and often, allowing the soil to drain between waterings. Container-grown plants should be checked more frequently in warm or windy weather.

Best Growing Conditions Grow in partial shade to gentle sun in fertile, well-drained loam. Choose a position with good airflow and enough space for the plant to reach its mature size. Mulch after planting and keep the root zone free from prolonged waterlogging, particularly through winter.

    Top tip

Remove damaged or spent growth as it appears and keep the area around the plant free from weeds so air and light can reach the base. Good drainage is especially important, so avoid leaving the roots sitting in persistently wet or compacted soil.
