Watering Keep the growing medium consistently moist during active growth, ideally using rainwater, distilled water or another low-mineral water source. For bog-growing types, a shallow water tray can be useful in warmer months, but avoid letting the crown remain submerged. Reduce watering slightly during winter dormancy while never allowing the compost to dry out completely.
Best Growing Conditions Grow in bright, indirect light, ideally at around 18-26°C, away from cold draughts and sudden temperature changes. Use a suitable, free-draining growing medium and make sure excess water can drain freely from the pot. Most houseplants perform best with moderate humidity and should be kept away from strong radiator heat.
