• Nicoline is a rounded, deciduous spiny shrub that can grow 1.5m in height and width and has mid-green glossy leaves. It produces semi-double scarlet cup shaped, five petalled flowers in the Spring. During the Autumn it will produce aromatic green fruits which ripen to yellow.

Light Required Chaenomeles grow best in well draining soil in full sun to partial shade.

Watering Moist but well–drained, Well–drained

Best Growing Conditions Water thoroughly during dry weather until well established. Mulch with organic matter in spring and apply a general fertilizer suitable for fruiting shrubs.
