GROWING - Christmas roses are best grown in partial shade but can cope with some sunshine, in moist well draining neutral to alkaline soil that is not too wet or too dry. Hellebore also make great plants for shady areas of the garden withstanding frosts well. As they are perennial plants, they will come back year after year. They can be planted at the front of garden borders, patio pots or window boxes and look lovely when grown in groups.
ONGOING CARE - To encourage further growth, remove any spent flower heads and cut back old leaves. Helleborus dislikes being moved once established so they should not be divided and will self seed in the right conditions.
